No Creature Too Small!

Like an arrow pointing towards the sky, the newest leaf
of my palm stands out against ominous clouds. On the
wires, a pigeon casts a rather soulful figure. She
must've flown in from one of the wooded hills nearby.

I was busy cleaning up a bush when I picked this one up
as well. When I felt something soft, I quickly let go. The
moth(?) flew to a neighbouring shrub and stayed put till I
got too close, for a less blurrier picture!

This one is a regular guest of my bamboo plants.

Pale-looking dragonflies do notlook their best in photos.
On top of that, their transparent wings really do not
turn out to be complimentary to them. I've taken several
photos resembling the ghosts of dragonflies! Now I've
decided to click only the bright ones, that is, till I
get a better camera!

This little spider has a web on my bamboo plants. Maybe
I would've missed it, but the colourful underside says--
"Look at me!"

I was at it again, cleaning the bamboo grove when this
fat, green worm fell on one of the stumps. I picked it up
with my weeder and placed it on this leaf to click this
photo.

Here she is again, rapidly trying out the only escape
route she knows!

And the most verdant green this time of the year is,
moss! The dampness created by the rainy season makes
them spring up in certain corners. You don't really
notice them, until one day you see that the garden
wall has been blanketed by a green so refreshing that
you sit up, take notice, photograph, and maybe write
about it as well!!

If you nudge that litle caterpillar, she'll poke out her red'horns' at you. I found out when I was trying to shift one from my champa sapling to another, less-precious plant.
Have you heard them chomp? They're really, really loud. High time someone taught her table manners : )

That photo at the top with the palm and the cloud-mass and the wires is really atmospheric.

I did notice the red horns, Sunita, and for the first time too! Amazing isn't it, that digging in the dirt can teach you so much!

Lucy, thank you so much for visiting and leaving a comment--about the clouds of ominous portent!

This green worm becomes a butterfly eating the leaf of citrus fruits in Japan.

I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for your comment. Do visit again.
