Sunset Sky

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher
storm, but to add colour to my sunset sky
.~ Rabindranth Tagore

We no longer wake up to cerulean skies. As we head towards the cooler
months, our city is enveloped in a haze that gets thicker as the days
go by. There's a hint of blue but that's about it! But behind the cloudy
curtain, preparations are on for a spectacular show!:) And everyday the
hues get better and better. I've already posted about the sunset shades
of purple. We still see them off and on. Here's what I photographed a
few days ago. I hope you like going through them this Sunday afternoon,
or evening....Enjoy!

Coconut against the sky is always the tropical beauty at its best. ~bangchik

For me, it is early Sunday morning and I am enthralled in your lovely sky pictures Kanak. Looks so peaceful.

Bangchik...that's right. Especially with nature's golden illumination!

Mildred...I should have added 'morning' too. I realized only after I'd posted, then I let it be! Well, good morning and have a lovely day!!

Lovely pictures Kanak..In Delhi we hardly ever get to see the sky..just permanent smog and haze filled skies.

Absolutely beautiful, especially with the palm trees in the foreground.

I just saw some sunrise shots from another blog. And yours are sunset... incredible! Love these sunset sky shots and those palm leaves just look so soft against the sky. Btw, though beautiful sky but was the weather good throughout the day? Over here, nowadays the weather can just change quickly to cloudy and dark. Nonetheless, have a great day Kanak!

Sujata, I guess we're lucky that way. The outskirts of the city, with paddy fields and marshy areas offer fascinating views of sunsets.

Birdy, glad you liked 'em!

Noelle, thanks! The palms (coconut) which look so ordinary in the daytime are transformed in the evenings!

Steph, oh yes! Cloudy but no rain, no sign of rain. It's still hot during the day but evenings are lovely. It's about 20*C now. I did have a lovely day...will tell all in another post:-)

Have a wonderful evening!

How beautiful! Skies like that is a indication of a bad summer storm in the next day or so. We hardly ever see skies like that in the other seasons. Too pretty!

Very pretty - and the palm trees look lovely silhouetted against the sky.

Di, thanks. Wish you the same too!

Rosey...thank you for your words....in summer the glows are orange but autumn has a greater range of sunset colours!!

Dawn, i think the storm is on its way. Very cloudy now with a hint of rain. Loved that you stopped by.

Easygardener, thanks! Glad to read what you've written.
