September Sky

When I admire the wonder of a sunset or the beauty of the moon,
my soul expands in worship of the Creator
. ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Although the heat hasn't said its reluctant goodbye, the play of
colours has already started...Our usually orange sunsets turned
spectacular the other day. I'm glad I could capture the many hues
because within a few minutes, the show was over. It was as if the
sky had never worn any other shade but the usual blue with flakes
of orange.

Hello Kanak! orange sky is beautiful. Love the clouds that are relecting the colour very well here. Such a nice sunset. It has been cloudy recently over here. Have a pleasant evening.

Steph, thanks. Today's papers put the weather this way....Hottest September of the decade! It's 37* Celsius!! Much too hot to garden so I'm photographing birds from the shade of the verandah!:)

Awesome shots Kanak. It looks like that these burning and wandering clouds are in search of some cool place.

Such drama in the skies! Kanak I am an admirer of Mahatma Ghandi whose selfless love for country and its peoples, his works and wisdom continues to inspire so many around the world. Did I tell you how I just love your header? Well hear this sister I love it!

Mildred....happy to read this. Yes, despite the heat, it is a good week! Hope it's the same with you too!

Urban Green, thanks. I'm still not being able to comment on your blog but I miss none of your posts. Your Dad's lemon tree is awesome!

Birdy, now that you've said it...must be. I hope they and we find that coolness soon!

Helen, so happy to read what you've written about the Father of our Nation.

And to read your comment about the header... my day is made!! This part of my front yard does not like that now. That's my winter look with some of the flowers in bloom.

It's the little things like the colors of the sky that make life so wonderful. Glad you captured it.

Really beautiful shots Kanak, we too have had some wonderful sunsets recently but those are spectacular. I also have noticed how quickly they go!

I also loved the Dragonfly on the last post :)

I'm so glad you captured the beauty of the sky before it changed. I'm finding out that if I don't take a pic when I first see it - then the moment is soon lost!

Loved Gandhi's quote. In fact, whenever I'm asked "who do I admire the most?" or questions to that effect, I always answer "Gandhi". Such a peaceful and gentle soul and that quote is perfect for this post.

Congratulations! Whenever there are nominations for an award then almost always there is a very thin difference between the winner and other nominees. I am sure all the nominated blogs are excellent but you are the Winner! so raise a toast and enjoy because people who vote, know the best.

I was away so couldn't respond to your messages earlier.

Namaste, Wendy, that's one thing I constantly remind myself...and that the lost moment will never come back! So happy to read your comment on Gandhiji. Glad you liked the quote. I fell in love with it the moment I came across it.

Linda, thank you so much! Wonderful to have you stop by.

Green Thumb, I'm very touched by your words...thanks a ton! Cheers to that! A comment like this surely inspires me to share/improve and show my little corner to the world!
