A taste of summer
It's the season of the 'bael' now. Bael ( Aegle
marmelos) is native to India. The fruit resembles
the wood apple; it's green when raw but when it
ripens, the colour changes to yellow and then,
brown. It has many medicinal properties. The
flesh of the fruit is yellow, with several seeds.
It's sweet and aromatic and has a refreshing taste.
It's one summer drink that I make very often.

Hi John,
Here's how you make bael juice. Break the fruit and take out the pulp. With the back of a spoon mash the pulp. Add water and stir.
Make sugar syrup separately. Pour the pulp/water mixture in a separate bowl with the help of a strainer. Add the sugar syrup and pour in individual glasses. The refreshing drink is ready!
