It's a Sony!!

Ever since my husband gifted me a new camera, I've been
like one possessed! I'm trying out many of the features
and am happy with the results. In fact I'm so happy that
I feel I've sprouted wings myself!!

Sometimes, I'm plain lucky! My focus was on this, the
bloom of the sky-blue cluster vine. I was about to click
when this gorgeous skipper landed on it and did not skip
away!!

Here's another one on my favourite patch.

The Common Indian Crow descends near my feet!

The coleus blooms have been attracting a great deal of
wings. If you click on this photo, you'll see a trans-
lucent pair of wings caught in the sunlight. It's right
there, at the top.

The damselflies are here! Here's one on a nasturtium leaf.

The most common butterfly flitting about my blooms.

There are so many bees here...sometimes it's impossible to
take a picture of a bloom without a very busy bee inside it!

I tell myself it's all right if the dusting is half-done,
if the chicken curry is on the verge of getting burnt, or
if my cup of tea remains cold and forlorn. I have a new
camera and a whole world of nature calling out my name!

A Sony huh? Some day I would love to enter the SLR world, but with so many choices it's hard to decide! Your pics sure are beautiful, maybe I'll look into the Sony! Happy Gardening.

Your pictures are great. I think I would have a hard time getting anything else done either with so many pretty things to see.

There must be something special about you, since the butterflies descend at your feet, and sit still while you are busy with your camera.
Stunning photos, as always. Say thanks to your hubbie from me! =)

Oh I will Tyra. It's because they come in droves now:) That makes it easier for me!

Tessa, I hope you'll be happy with whatever you buy. Thank you for dropping by. Have a great week!

Carla, I didn't realise I'd got the insect until the pics were transferred. I was delighted to see those wings!

Thank you so much Islandgal. I've added yours to mine too!

Dawn, lovely to have you visit. Thank you so much!

Thanks Tina, thanks!

Catherine...so right. That must be happening to so many other bloggers!

Helen, it wasn't always like that. I've cribbed and cribbed about the butterflies earlier. It's only now that I can manage these shots.

Thank you for your lovely words. And yes,Hubby will be delighted!

I enjoyed seeing all your "wildlife" buzzing around those beautiful blooms. I'll be glad when they start showing up here.

Enjoy that camera Kanak! Isn't it fun getting a new toy?!?!?

Well you are getting some wonderful pictures with your new camera. I like to see insects on flowers - not only are the insects interesting themselves but it is a reminder how insects and flowers work together.

I am so glad you are enjoying your new camera! And sharing with us. It's a pleasure to look at your pics. I absolutely love the "faerie wings" on your coleus.
Magical!

Kanak,

I'm so jealous that your getting grass skippers, butterflies and even damselflies. We are three weeks away from seeing butterflies and even better dragonflies.

Hi Kanak, I am so glad I have found your blog again. It is lively to feast my eyes on your lush garden. Mine is mostly dead being in the 6th year of drought and not having had any water for thegarden since the middle of last summer. We barely have enough stored rainwater for out two households with some severe rationing and every drop is used at least twice. Enough whinging, nice to have found you again.

Ancel, so good to be in touch with you again! Thanks. I love my 'outside' time more than anything else!

Susie, real fun! I've taking tons of pictures!

Thanks Lona. Lovely to have you here.

So true, Easygardener. It does give the photos a 'complete' look.

Wendy, glad you liked the pic. I was surprised and very happy to those wings myself.

Randy, so those are grass skippers. Initially I thought they were all brown but some of them have such lovely patterns on their wings.

Indrani, oh yes, I will. Thanks.

Chandramouli, I'm freaking out! Thanks for commenting on the pics.

Hi Arija, I'm so sorry to hear about the drought. I can't imagine how difficult it is, if water is rationed. I just hope it gets better this year, for you.

Thank you so much...for coming. It's been a while. I'll be over at yours soon! Take care!

Looks like you're having fun with your new camera :) I love to hear about the busy bees, that means you have a happy garden. I have the same variegated nasturtiums blooming as you do, they are so pretty.
